Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations received on or before 1 August 2019 will be refunded, minus a $200.00 USD processing fee. No refunds will be issued after this date, although substitutions will be allowed (see below). No refunds shall be made to individuals who attend a portion of the conference. No refunds shall be made for cancellations due to inclement weather. The conference organizers reserve the right to substitute presenters, or cancel or reschedule sessions because of low enrollment or other circumstances. If the conference organizers must cancel the conference in its entirety due to circumstances beyond their control (including but not limited to, acts of God, war, terrorism, failure of transportation, weather, accidents, fires, electrical failures, strikes, labor disputes, postal delays, explosions, and government orders or regulations), the conference organizers may, at their discretion, refund the appropriate registration fees to conference registrants. No refunds shall be made for travel expenses related to the conference. Attendees who purchase non-refundable airline tickets do so at their own risk.
Refunds in case of Emergency: If an attendee is unable to attend the conference based on serious illness or death (of self or a family member), a partial refund (amount paid minus a $55.00 USD processing charge) may be granted. Refunds in the case of emergency must be made in writing as described below and will be reviewed by the conference organizers to ensure it is in accordance with written policy.
All cancellations must be made in writing and sent to Metabesity Conference Services at the address below. Cancellation made by email must be sent by 11:59 pm U.S. Eastern Daylight Time (UTC-4) on 1 August 2019. Cancellations made by surface mail must be postmarked by 1 August 2019.

Substitution Policy
If you find that you are unable to attend the conference, you are welcome to send a colleague in your place. Substitution requests must be made in writing and sent to Metabesity Conference Services at the address above. There is no fee to make this change up to 1 August 2019. Registration substitutions emailed or postmarked after 1 August 2019 shall be charged a $55.00 USD processing fee. If there is a difference in the registration rate for the type of attendee making the substitution, the larger rate will apply, except in the case of government employees. Metabesity 2019 reserves the right to charge any difference at the time the substitution is made. No refunds will be made based on the type of attendee, except in the case of a government employee (minus the $55.00 USD processing fee after 1 August 2019). Any early rate in effect on the date when the original registration was made will be honored, for the larger registration type.
Returned Check Policy
Remittance must be made in U.S. Dollars. A $25.00 surcharge may be assessed to cover any collection fees.
Important Payment Note
The registration form must be accompanied by your credit card information or check in full payment of registration fees and events. All non-U.S. registrants shall be charged the U.S. Dollar equivalent at the time the charge is processed, unless otherwise indicated. To qualify for early registration rates, your registration form and payment must be submitted by the dates stated in the rate table on the registration page.

Metabesity 2019 may issue press passes to representatives of news media outlets to attend and report on the conference on a case-by-case basis.
